We have already accepted all the students we can accommodate for the Summer 2011 season placements (running from June 2010- September 2010).
We are accepting applications for General studio assistant which may or not be available at any non-fixed time of the year (please see separate criteria).
Forthcoming Winter placements (running approximately October/November - February), are not generally scheduled so far in advance, but we will accept speculative applications at this stage. Under normal circumstances, it is unlikely that you would be offered an interview before October, but please state in your email/covering letter any exceptional circumstances that may affect this- traveling and commitment to other placements etc.
To ensure your application is correctly filed, please carefully read the criteria below.
Good luck.

ELEY KISHIMOTO runs two placement programs seasonally, and they are for the duration of an entire season:
They are practical skills based placements where successful candidates will be helping to facilitate all ELEY KISHIMOTO activities.
(Please see STUDIO ASSISTANT PLACEMENT criteria for placements outside of this program)
DESIGN ROOM placement. 2-3 positions per season.
PRINT ROOM placement. 2-3 positions per season.
Full time (Monday-Friday 9.30am - 6pm)
SUMMER approximately June - September.
WINTER approximately October/November - February.
There is some flexibility within the start dates as we may stagger starts depending on our requirements.
Although preferably candidates would be available from June/October onwards.
It is essential that placements be available to work up until the show/ London Fashion Week during September/ February.
Show/Fashion Week dates are usually mid month, but are unconfirmed until a few weeks before, we would require placements to be available until the end of the respective month.
Successful applicants will be enthusiastic, hard working, well mannered and reliable.
They will be versatile and able to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team.
They will have good drawing and presentation skills and a basic knowledge of pattern cutting and garment construction/printing.
But they will also be flexible and able to undertake any tasks required of them.
Please note that the placements are full time and unpaid, but travel expenses within central London will be reimbursed on a weekly basis.
ELEY KISHIMOTO traditionally have not taken on graduates as placement students due to financial difficulties it may cause, and also commitment to a set period of time.
Please take this into consideration before proceeding further with your application as we would require a fixed and definite commitment from accepted placements.

Successful applicants will be called to interview, but please note that a call to interview would not guarantee a placement.
Unfortunately we are unable to interview candidates immediately who hand deliver CV's without prior call to interview, and we would advise against this application method.
As we receive many applications and although we endeavour to respond to everyone, it is not always possible to reply to unsuccessful applications due to sheer volume.
